Jamie Kennedy has been actively pursuing her career since 1975. She started her equine education in her family-run business “Kennedy Show Horses”, under the excellent tutelage of her mother, Penny Kennedy, an accomplished equestrienne, instructor and judge. Kennedy Show Horses specialized in acquisition and sales of youth Western mounts.
She was active in FFA and 4H and was Arizona state champion in seven events. Her career as a horsewoman includes experience competing and training in rodeo, equitation, halter, Western Pleasure, hunt seat, saddle seat, dressage, speed events, carriage driving and endurance riding, plus work as a trail guide, breeder, farm manager and equine photographer.
She has worked with a variety of horse breeds: Arabians, Paints, Quarter Horses, Thoroughbreds, Tennessee Walkers, Appaloosas, Morgans, Paso Finos, Nation Show Horses, Saddlebreds, Frisians
and Crossbreeds.
Jamie has trained and studied under Richard Shrake, inventor of “resistance-free” training, Multiple World Champion trainer, coach, clinician and carded judge; Hilda Gurney, Olympic Medalist, trainer, clinician and internationally carded judge; John Charles Sari, trainer in dressage and combined training, and eight-year member of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna; Eitan Beth Halachmy, Multiple Nation Champion (Morgan Horses) and inventor of Cowboy Dressage; Merle Lacy, Multinational Champion (Arabian Horses), Park, English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, halter and combined training; Mike Neil, Multinational Champion, Halter (Arabian Horses) and Rick Nabb, who coached 32 National Champions at the Arabian Youth Nationals.
Jamie is a certified Master Trainer and Instructor, has held three Rodeo Queen titles, two PRCA and one National Military Finals title. She held the arena record for barrel racing at the Silver Spur Rodeo in Yuma, Arizona in 1985 with a time of 14.3 seconds. She has also won local, state, regional and international awards in 10 different arena events.
Her instructional and coaching style mphasizes safety and fun in a stairstep format that is easy to follow and practice, and which crosses over into every discipline. She also breeds, raises and trains American Paint Horses and Australian Shepherds.

Equine Training
Master’s certified, full-charge trainer (show and pleasure), individualized programs from first touch to the show ring, foal imprinting, starting under saddle, schooling, conditioning, ground work, showing, exhibiting (halter and performance) as applicable to each breed. Western: Western pleasure, equitation, trail, Western riding, reining, showmanship, barrels, poles and timed events. English: hunt, seat, saddle seat, jumping and dressage. Carriage Driving: Start in harness and driving. Competitive endurance riding.
Riding Instructor
All levels, master’s certified, Western, English and driving, lectures, tours, seminars, clinics, instructing students in horse training, apprenticeship/working student programs, judging and selection for advanced students.
Veterinary
Vaccinations, worming, foaling, complete breeding programs for stallions and mares, cycle-charting, teasing, natural breeding, artificial insemination, stallion reports, semen collection, preparation and shipping (chilled), registration forms, logs and all related records. Emergency Care: Treatment of sudden illness or injury, IV and IM drug administration, veterinarian and farrier selection, scheduled and assisting, nutrition, individualized feeding programs.

Transportation
Hauling, handling and care of horses in transport, training horses for transport. Own Ford F-350 and Exiss 3-Horse Trailer with sleeping quarters fully equipped for hauling long distances. Rates negotiable.
